A 45 minute individual therapy session (CPT90834) ranges from $105 to $160. Sessions that are 60 minutes range from $155 to $220. At the start of treatment your specialist will conduct a Diagnostic Evaluation to determine treatment needs, goals, and diagnosis. The fee for a diagnostic session ranges from $170 to $225. Depending on the unique needs of the client, an interactive complexity code (90785) may apply, such as if certain factors such as high emotionality, communication impairments, or other factors that interfere with therapy . This code is $20 and also applies when there is a need for covers the need for coordinating care and involving teachers, specialists, pediatricians, and parents during and between sessions. This code also reflects the tools and creative ways we use to get kids engaged and participate in therapy or for those with communication difficulties. Complicating factors include, for example, difficult communication with acrimonious family members and engagement of verbally undeveloped children. These factors are typically found with patients who have others legally responsible for their care, such as minors or adults with guardians, those who request others such as family members or interpreters to be involved during the visit, or those that require the involvement of third parties such as schools or probation officers. The fee for a 50 minute family therapy session with the client or without the client present and/or multiple family members (codes 90847, 90849, and 90846) ranges from $130 to $180. CPT  90839 Crisis Therapy session - $160-$240- Initial 60 minutes; when urgent assessment and history of the crisis state, mental status exam and disposition is required due to safety risks. In order for the new crisis codes to apply, the presenting problem must typically be life -threatening or complex and require immediate attention to a patient in high distress.

 

CPT 90840 Additional 30 minutes of a crisis therapy session- $76-$120.Assessment CPT 96130/96131- $120-$200- Evaluation Services Planning, thinking, writing reports, providing feedback and recommendations. CPT 96132/96133 Neuropsychological Testing- $135-$200- Evaluation Services Planning, thinking, writing reports, providing feedback and recommendations. CPT96136/96137 Test Administration and scoring $58-$150 /30 minutes. Educational Assessments/Writing-not billable to insurance- Letters, review of records, consultation, etc $200/hr. On site school visit- $250/hr- not billable to insurance.
